    Advice on portacots

I have 4 month old twin girls and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good portacot. I was thinking maybe I could put them both in the same portacot if it was big enough. Has anyone had any experience with this or can suggest a portacot which is extra large?

    Cheers

    Re: Advice on portacots

    Hi Lisa,

I put my boys in a portacot together when we stayed in Bunbury with my husband on school holidays, he works down there and rents a house there and only comes home when he can. So instead of setting up two houses with full size cots, I just left the portacots down there. However I found that the boys didn't last long in the cot together, they outgrew it pretty quickly. Probably 6 months was the last time they were in it together. Our cot was not a particular brand, just a standard size which is still smaller than a usual cot. This was for a couple of weeks at a time though, so for just visiting, short term you may manage to make one cot last a little longer. The other thing we have done for short term was have one in the cot and one in the pram.

Hi Lisa, Congratulations! Have you looked at kinderkots? I have them for my 2.5yr old triplets, they are like a pop up dome tent and fold up small and only weigh 3kg each, they have a self inflatable mattress which fits into the base. check them out online at kinderkot.com.au (I think) or google kinderkot. Best wishes, Olivia
