I alternated the days that the kids sat in it, and then had the other one sitting on a bath mat. I did use it for quite a while, though can't remember to when exactly ... probably around the ten month mark, ...

You can buy little bath seats for the kids. We put our kids in the bath seats from about six months so that I could bath them together. I am pretty sure Big W sells them for about $20 each. Then just place your change mat in your bathroom and you can dry one while the other is still in their seat. Good luck.
